Know the process that makes BioBox unlike anything you’ve ever heard

Discover the process that makes BioBox different from anything you’ve ever heard of.

Scale production, high productivity and zero waste of materials and resources. One of the main characteristics that makes the BioBox concept really unique is the fact that it brings to house building all the advantages of an industrial process, where all the steps are carried out within a closed and controlled environment, which allows better execution quality control and more productivity in the performance of the teams.

In the planning and development phase of the BioBox processes, the automotive industry was used as a benchmark, where the houses are manufactured in a production line, just like vehicles, which makes it possible to prepare the parts of the houses in different areas of the factory and assemble them in an orderly way, in a linear assembly process, with a ready-made house at the end, closed and available to be transported.

This production process with sectors and an assembly line brings a considerable gain due to the better use of time and financial resources, as it allows the production of 04 houses per day in two periods of 08 hours, a very short time with a huge reduction in waste, both in terms of production time and consumption of materials, which has an important impact on reducing the final cost of homes and, therefore, the selling price.

Sustainability

BioBox has developed sustainable industrial processes where the focus is on preserving and not depleting natural resources for the future, a concern expressed by the World Commission on Environment and Development, linked to the United Nations, to discuss and propose ways to harmonize economic development and environmental conservation.

To conciliate social, economic and environmental aspects, BioBox worked on two fronts: the development of houses and the development of industrial processes. In the first one, the focus was on trying to add as many sustainable items as possible to the houses, while in the second one, the concern was minimizing the impact of industrial processes on the environment as much as possible.

A huge challenge overcome: production, transport and assembly of a house in a few hours.

BioBox developed a unique industrial process. Through extensive studies that involved several technicians and consultants, they created a construction system that would make it possible to build a house in a few hours, transport it, and open it at the delivery location, also in a few hours.

To make a house in 04 hours, it was necessary to develop a sequence of processes that would allow all the tasks involved in this work to be accomplished in such a short period of time. Planning and quality control are applied in all processes.

This system had as a central idea transporting the finished and closed house, in the shape of a box, similar to a container, and only opening it in its definitive place. To achieve this, house plans were developed in which the floors, walls and roofs were articulated, making it possible to close them by connecting them to the central structure, reducing volume and making it possible to transport them by truck to any place.

Finally, the house opening is a fundamental part of this system. To complete this operation in approximately 08 hours, processes and procedures were developed to quickly and accurately complete all the stages of opening and placing the external and internal finishing.

A house ready inside the factory, then just transfer it and enjoy all its qualities.

BioBox houses are unique because they leave the factory ready-made. They just need to be transported to the delivery sites and opened, and you can enjoy all their safety and comfort, in a simple, easy and super fast way.

The houses, when closed inside the factory, ready to be transported, are complete with all electrical and plumbing installations, LED lighting in all rooms, sconces, doorbell, complete bathroom with glass shower, toilet with a lid, washbasin cabinet and bathroom accessories, cabinets with a sink and upper cabinets in the kitchen, washing tank, and washing machine installations. In short, everything designed to make your life much easier, economical and pleasurable.

Hard work in search of the best solutions.

BioBox spent the last five years working on the research and development of its homes. Every detail has been thought through, tested and improved until we achieved the best results. This development work was divided into two areas: manufacturing with all its processes, and the houses with their characteristics and particularities.

In the factory case, the production structure was based on two assembly line, where each part of the house is produced in specific sectors and assembled at the end of the process. In a warehouse of 12,000 m², 1,452 houses will be produced per year, or 04 houses per day in two work shifts, which means that every 4 hours a house will be ready to be transported and delivered. Well-adjusted processes, and selected and trained teams will make all the difference and enable the quality and productivity that we propose to deliver.

The concept of sustainability will be present in everything that will be done, from the use of natural resources, water, electricity and materials, to the way we relate with our co-workers, employees, suppliers and, mainly, our customers, and more generally, with society as a whole. Respect for and preservation of the environment will be a permanent BioBox concern in all actions inside and outside the factory.

In order to bring the best solutions to BioBox houses, it was necessary to develop materials and projects that integrated durability, design, functionality and practicality in the best possible way, to offer maximum comfort and well-being to future residents.

A lot has already been done and a lot will still be done so that BioBox houses become synonymous with quality and good business.
